Terms of Service
Updated 27 September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Warrantly ("the App"), a Shopify application operated by Vendkit ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App, you ("the merchant") agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Warrantly gives your store a product registration page. Shoppers register products they bought (matched to their order, or with a receipt on paid plans), receive a warranty card by email and can send warranty claims, which you manage in the App. Features and design may change over time as the App improves.
2. Plans and billing
- The App offers a Free plan (50 registrations a month) and paid Starter and Pro plans. Current prices are shown on the App's Plans page. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial.
- All billing is handled by Shopify Billing. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice. We never see or store your card details.
- You can downgrade or cancel at any time by changing your plan or uninstalling the App. Shopify's proration and refund rules apply.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to break or overload it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to violate any law or Shopify's terms.
4. Data and privacy
Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy. You are the data controller for your store's data; we act as a data processor on your instructions. The Data Processing Addendum in section 12 forms part of these Terms.
5. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
6. Your warranty terms and claims
The warranty itself is between you and your customers. You set the warranty lengths in the App and decide every claim; the App records and sends what you choose. You are responsible for your warranty terms, for any consumer-law rights your customers have (which the App does not limit), for checking receipts, and for replacing, repairing or refunding products. Emails are sent in your store's name at your request.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost sales, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the three months before the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached. On uninstall, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

12. Data Processing Addendum
This addendum applies where we process personal data on your behalf, including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA. By installing or using the App you enter into it with us.
- Roles. You are the controller (or "business"); we are your processor (or "service provider").
- Subject matter and purpose. Providing the App's features: product registration, warranty cards, warranty claims and related emails.
- Data and data subjects. Your customers' names and email addresses, the products they register (serial numbers, order numbers and purchase dates), their claims, and the photos and receipts they upload (stored in your Shopify Files); your staff's Shopify session details. We do not store postal addresses, phone numbers or payment details.
- Duration. For as long as the App is installed, plus the deletion periods in the Privacy Policy.
- Instructions. We process personal data only to provide the App and on your documented instructions (these Terms and your App settings). We never sell or share it, or use it for advertising or for our own purposes.
- Confidentiality and security. Access is limited to people who need it and are bound by confidentiality. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest, with access controls and monitoring.
- Sub-processors. You authorise the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy. We will update that list before adding a new one, and you may object by uninstalling the App.
- Assistance. We help you respond to data subject requests (including through Shopify's privacy webhooks) and with security or compliance questions.
- Breaches. We will notify you without undue delay, and within 72 hours, after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your data.
- Deletion. When the App is uninstalled, or on Shopify's shop-redact request, we delete your store's data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Transfers. Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our sub-processors operate. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), which are incorporated by reference.
